Sorrento Shawl
Intermediate
The Sorrento is crescent shaped shawl and is inspired by the Village of Sorrento, the home of the Okanagan knitting retreat. This is the place I first learned how to knit lace and fell in LOVE.
This beautiful large shawl is knit with three skeins of yarn and is so luxurious knit in a cashmere blend. The Sorrento shawl is large enough to cuddle up in on those chilly spring evenings of knitting and the lace adds a feminine elegance to it that you will fall in love with.
This shawl will be a staple in your wardrobe or a beautiful gift for someone you love.
The lace sections are written but are simple for a newer lace knitter. As you knit there is enough going on that you will be inspired to see what the next section will look like in your colours of choice. The shawl colours transition from dark at the top to light on the bottom, this gives a flattering look to the curviest of bodies. The extra large picot bind off in a contrasting colour adds interest and a beautiful finishing.
You are going to love wrapping yourself in the Sorrento Shawl.
